Player Registration/ Transfers

Player Registration:

Official UCFL player registration forms are available for purchase from the Registrar (Mr. Bryan Flewett); in his absence, please contact Mr. Paddy Morgan, the Chairman, Mr. Barney Blood, or any other member of the Executive Committee.  Each registration form costs €3 and they can be bought singly or in books of up to 50 forms.  All players must be registered and this is done by filling out and signing a form as per the instructions and lodging it with the League.  A completed form must be with the Registrar (or any UCFL official) at least 48 hours before a match to render a player eligible.

Please note that the final date for registering players in a given season is March 31.

Player Transfer:

A player who wishes to transfer from any club (which may or may not be within the UCFL) to a club within the UCFL, must complete Section I of the UCFL’s official transfer form (see Forms section) himself and have Section II completed by his current club, before presenting it to the club which he wishes to join to complete Section III.  If his existing club is in another League, the form must then be stamped by that League (to confirm they have been notified of the transfer) and a transfer processing fee, payable to that League, will typically apply.  No transfer fee will apply if both clubs are in the UCFL.  Finally, the (UCFL) club the player is joining must then present the completed form to the UCFL Registrar, or other officer, along with a separate completed UCFL player registration form.

Please note that in the case of a player leaving a UCFL club to join a club in another League, a similar process applies, with the UCFL charging a transfer processing fee, currently (2011/12) €35.

Please note that transfers can take place only during two specified “transfer windows” – the first, up to September 30 and the second from December 1 to January 31.
