03/03/2010: Reports from 27/02/2010

Tuesday’s Star reported on the Premier Division games Clontarf v Lower Crumlin and Trinity Corinthians v Sportslink.  In addition, the following summaries from other games on 27/02/2010 also appeared:

In the Richard Knight Cup, Brayzil ran up a 4 - 0 interval lead against St Canice's and eventually advanced to the next round on an 8 – 2 scoreline. Keith Kelly, Dave Byrne (3), Alan Dutton (2), Justin Dutton and Eoin Merriman were the winning marksmen.

Although the Div 1 tie between Sandyford Rovers and FC Ailesbury finished goalless, there was a host of opportunies for both sides with Ailesbury particularly left to rue missing the chance to move even closer to the leaders Stedfast Utd.

Stedfast Utd 2nds stamped their authority on Div 2B with a decisive 5 - 0 victory over close rivals St Anne's Utd. The winning tally came from Gary Dardis (2), Paddy Forde (2) and Killian Long.

Notice: Clubs are reminded that the March Management meeting takes place on Thursday, 4th March in the Dublin Central Mission Hall, Lower Abbey Street with a scheduled kick-off time of 8.00 pm. All clubs must be in attendance.
