2010 Quarter Finals next Saturday
38 of the 39 matches went ahead as scheduled last Saturday (06/03/2010). 5 first round ties in the Richard Knight Cup were decided – 2 on penalties – while the MMI Cup quarter-final line-up was decided after the remaining 2 matches in the last 16 were completed; 3 of the quarter-finals are scheduled for next Saturday. Progress also continued in the Sidney Bedlow Cup and 5 of the 8 quarter-finalists are now known.
In the leagues, Premier division champions VEC scored a notable 3-1 win over Orchard Celtic, while Trinity Corinthians surprisingly lost their second league match in succession, Clontarf winning 2-1.
