The following summaries were sent to the Irish Daily Star for publication on Tuesday:

Joey Byrne gave VEC the lead in their Premier clash against Trinity Corinthians and they managed to hold on to it for 60 minutes. Brian Keegan popped up to level the tie and found the winner on 93 minutes to send Trinity to the top of the table.  A Karl Nolan second half strike sealed a good win for Stedfast Utd over Ardmore Rovers to leave them in a good mid-table position.

Stedfast Utd 2nds made sure it was a good day for the club as they came from 2 - 0 behind to draw level with CMH in the 3rd round of the Sidney Bedlow Cup and, after extra - time producing no further goals, they advanced to the next round winning 5 - 3 on penalties. Ian Kane and Dermot Cullen got the goals to enable Stedfast travel to the winners of Francis AFC/Allenton in the quarter-finals.

Grant City switched with Terenure in Div 3 and with two goals in the last twenty minutes took maximum reward. The winning marksmen were David Guiry and Andy McGovern which leaves the City in a good position to challenge for honours.  Schalke Rovers 2nds conceded a late equaliser against St Mark's Athletic despite a 2 - 0 interval lead from a brace by Gavin Cahill.

Keith McDonnell, Stephen Byrne, Mick McDonnell and Anthony Francis were on the mark for Chapelizod FC in the 4 - 2 defeat of Seaview Celtic 2nds in Div 3B. Elsewhere, Lucan Utd came from two down at half-time to snatch a draw with St Anne's Utd 2nds. Their scorers were Shane Lynch and Garry Tuke with Anne's getting off the mark through Tommy O'Donovan and Barry Kirwan.
